Deliciously sweet and creamy, you would never guess this hot chocolate is packed with super foods! The secret to the sweetness comes from dates, which also provide half a serving of fruit along with fiber, potassium, and a kick of energy. The turmeric and cinnamon add a punch of anti-inflammatory properties, and the dash of pepper helps your body absorb the turmeric.

Notes
If you don't have a slow cooker, you can cook the hot chocolate in a saucepan on a range at low to medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Either way, be careful it doesn't boil!If you accidentally (or purposefully) make too much, not to worry! Pour the leftover hot chocolate into a mason jar and enjoy the next morning. Please note, this recipe is not keto or sugar free. It is free from added sugars, but dates have a good deal of natural sugar in them.
