Look at that creamy deliciousness. Seriously, look at it.

The heat of buffalo sauce and the tang of blue cheese is a classic combination. And it’s classic for a reason. It’s delicious.

This pizza is filled with creamy, gooey, mozzarella cheese and blue cheese dressing as the base. Next comes the MVP (Most Valuable Protein!), nutrient-rich chickpeas smothered in hot buffalo sauce. Then, a full serving of broccoli adds vitamins to the party while also contributing an earthy crunch.

Finish it off with blue cheese crumbles for extra tang and celery for freshness, and you have a gold star winner, my friend.

Be sure not to leave out the garlic. It serves as a perfect transition from the naan to the blue cheese and adds a welcome but subtle kick.

Guaranteed to thrill adults and kids alike, my Buffalo Chickpea Naan Pizza definitely deserves a spot in your routine menu. I know it’s in mine!

Ingredients

  • 1 naan
  • 1 ½ tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp jarred minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • ¾ cup canned chickpeas
  • 4 tbsp buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli divided into very small sections
  • ¼ cup blue cheese chunks
  • 1 stalks celery sliced thinly
  • 1 scallion sliced
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 385°. Place a sheet pan on the middle shelf of the oven while it is preheating.
  • Meanwhile, drizzle ½ tsp of olive oil and the minced garlic on the naan bread and spread with a pastry brush or the back of a spoon to cover the entire surface of the bread evenly.
  • Follow with 2 tbsp of blue cheese dressing and spread over most of the surface of the bread, saving the edges as crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the pizza.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, toss the chickpeas in 2 tbsp of buffalo sauce. Then cover the pizza with the chickpeas. In a second bowl, toss the broccoli with 1 tsp of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Cover the pizza with the broccoli. Finally, sprinkle the blue cheese over the pizza.
  • When the oven is preheated, move the naan pizza to the sheet pan and cook in the oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the broccoli cooked. Meanwhile, slice the celery and scallions.
  • When the naan pizza is finished baking, sprinkle the celery and scallions onto the pizza and drizzle with remaining buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing.

Notes

This would be perfect as an appetizer for a party. Slice it up and serve with extra blue cheese dressing as a dipping sauce!
